We,  the  member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant  to affirm and promote:

The  inherent worth and dignity of every person;

Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;

Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual  growth with in our congregations;

A  free and responsible  search for truth and meaning;

The right of conscience and the use of the democratic
process  within our congregations and in society at large;

Requirements:
To graphically despict who we are
Include:
1. the name (Long Island Unitarian Universalist Social Justice Coalition);

2. the UU chalice symbol;

3. Long Island in some way;

4. communicate our mission;

Y2K  logo must be copy ready for print, received by the coalition  no later than December 15, 1998.

UUSJ Coalition meetings are held on the third monday of the month at 7:30 PM. The location rotates between locations in Nassau and Suffolk counties.

The next meeting is in Huntington. on Nov.16, 1998.
